I went into Priceline as I normally do every week to see what is on special.
What I found was that I got a free cosmetics bag if I purchased ANY Hello Kitty product. Awesome I thought!
So I purchased a compact mirror and an eyeshadow named Marjorelle. Please note these items can only be found in Priceline.
The eyeshadow is a deep blue glitter with a charcoal undertone. Here is a lame attempt at a picture of the eyeshadow:
I tried real hard to get the lighting right for this picture. The eyeshadow looks more charcoal grey in this picture. I can definitely say that when you put this on, it is a charcoal blue with glitter scattered across. No snapshot really captured the colour I found, so really sorry about that!
In the Hello Kitty range, they do mono as well as duo eyeshadows. The eyeshadow cost $9.95 and the compact mirror on my original picture cost $10. I believe other colours in the eyeshadow was light blue, purples, greens and pink.
I am really into deep blue at the moment and pairing it with hot pink, so this is why I bought this particular eyeshadow – to match with Hot Pink lipstick.
Always check out your local Priceline as you never know what freebie or bargain you can find
LiLi out!
I’ve been wanting to post this for some time but it got lost in the never ending ideas for my blog.
I bring to you Hello Kitty Magnetic Gloss in Girly Lip.
It is a fuchsia, shimmery lipgloss that is bold and strong in colour. Upon wearing this, I found that it did not fade nor did it feel heavy or oily. I like how this colour stands out as its quite bright but fun enough to wear during day time as well as night.
As you may or may not know, I like wearing all sorts of pink lipglosses and lipsticks. I like the Hello Kitty range which according to Beauty Heaven, is only available in Priceline in Australia! This costs $13.95 from Priceline. Sorry international peeps, the only other site I found that sold Hello Kitty make-up is Sephora.
I believe it is called magnetic gloss because of how strong the glittery parts of the gloss stand out without drawing away from the colour. For me, it really shines as the picture depicts. Shiny gloss makes your lips look amazing! I captured the lipgloss in natural light because I feel those pictures never lie.
Here is another pic I took in natural light as the other pic was taken in my car LoL
I feel that both pictures do really show the tints of the lipgloss and both pics are correct in the shade. On one hand it can be really Glittery and holochrome but on the other hand it is fuchsia and bright pink. It really depends at what angle you look at and how the gloss will shine towards you.
I like sparkly things as much as the next girl and pretty much wear this lipgloss whenever I feel like it. I think with any girl, if you find some form of make-up that you enjoy wearing then it can really make your day because you’ll feel happy.
Don’t under estimate the power of make-up.
So I wanted to follow up from this post about my overall outfit I wore to a 21st birthday recently.
I bought my Hello Kitty lipstick with my post about it here and wanted to make it work with a deep blue dress. So here are all the items I bought shown separately:
I bought the dress from Ally Fashion for AU $39.99. I loved it as soon as I saw it! It is a velvet dress with blue glitter dots all over the dress. It’s polka dots meets velvet! When I bought the hello kitty lipstick I just knew I wanted to wear it with this dress! So, with that in mind I needed hot pink shoes for the whole outfit to come together.
So here is a picture of the whole outfit – excuse the picture as I cut out my friend and never got a picture taken of myself. Didn’t want to include my friend just in case. Also, I may look short because I crouched down to take the picture as I was so tall in those heels:
I accessorized with silver Jewellery. I wore a diamonte choker necklace which I believe cost around $40 from Diva – I bought it a few years ago so I really don’t remember. My earrings are from Lovisa and were on sale for $5. I kept my eye make-up simple with just black eye liner and mascara. My foundation was Bourjois Flower perfection blogged here and I used an Avon loose powder. I would let you know how much my clutch was but I can’t because it was a gift. I would say you can find clutches for approx. $40. Here is a close up of my make-up and accessories:
So overall, this outfit costs $85 for the shoes, $40 for the dress, $45 for accessories, $40 for the clutch = approx. $210 in total. You can probably do it for less if you get the accessories and clutch on sale.
I received many great compliments on the night and loved the outfit overall! It was great mixing deep blue with hot pink. It worked out so well!
